Linha comercial- Dois ao avesso
Dia dois de dezembro, às 20 horas, Dois ao Avesso abre sua primeira exposição sob este título, no Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MARCO), acompanhados ainda do trabalho da artista plástica Jú Maria. Nesta primeira exposição, os trabalhos apresentados foram desenvolvidos em 2008 e fazem parte de uma proposta que se consolidará em outras ações a serem realizadas em 2009. São trabalhos que mesclam técnicas diversas sob suportes variados, como na escultura, por exemplo, onde a técnica utilizada é uma variação de formas de forração em tapeçaria ou na impressão de formas baseadas em fotografias tomográficas. São dezoito trabalhos onde estas formas dialogam intrinsecamente.

DESIGNER GRÁFICO: Jason Munn
"Jason Munn is originally from Wisconsin but now calls Oakland, California home. Arising from a love of independent music, design, and making for the sake of making, his posters soon became a fixture in the local independent music scene.
He started The Small Stakes in the fall of 2003, and it has since unfolded into a successful independent design studio, producing nationally and internationally commissioned work in a range of print materials, including book covers, album packaging, T-shirt designs, screen-printed posters, and illustrations.
Jason's work has appeared in Print, Communication Arts, Step Inside Design, Computer Arts Projects, Étapes, ReadyMade, and Creative Review. His work has also been featured in numerous exhibits and is part of the permanent collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art."

"Born in Beirut, Tarek Atrissi has worked and studied in Lebanon, The Netherlands, Qatar, Dubai and the United States. He Holds a BA in Graphic Design with distinction from the American University of Beirut; a Masters of Arts in Interactive Multimedia from the Utrecht School of the Arts in Holland and an MFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York- where he studied under people like Steven Heller, Paula Scher and Stefan Sagmeister.
His work has been exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and is in the permanent Design collection of the Affiche Museum in Holland. His projects were featured in major international design magazines and books worldwide . His awards include the Type Directors Club's, The Dutch Design award, two Adobe Design Achievement awards in 2002, the Aquent Design award in 2003 as well as four IBDAA99 awards. He was selected in 2005 for Print Magazine's Twenty under Thirty, the international review for the most achieved Visual artists below the age of 30. He is the co-author of "Visual Narratives from Arabia" published by Unesco in 2007. He is the founder of www.arabictypography.com , the online communication platform for Arabic Type, and is a frequent guest speaker in several universities and design seminars across the world. Atrissi has taught at the American University in Dubai, at the Virginia commonwealth University in Qatar, and at the the Art, Design and Technology Masters Program of UNESCO in 2005. He is currently teaching at the department of Art, Media and Technology at the Utrecht School of the Arts in Holland.
He is currently principal of his own design studio, Tarek Atrissi Design (www.atrissi.com), based in the Netherlands and serving a variety of clients, big and small, in Europe, the Middle East and the United States. The Studio's multi-disciplinary scope of work covers all kinds of visual communication- with a primary focus on cross cultural design and on developing a modern Typo/Graphic Arabic Design. The Studio's projects included designing the visual identity for the country of Qatar in 2004 and the masthead and identity for Al-Ghad Newspaper in Jordan, among other clients such as BBC , MTV, Georgetown University, Etisalat Telecommunication and other non-profit and small or start up businesses. Tarek was a creative director for Meta Design in Germany, and has consulted with international branding worldwide with firms such as Wolf Ollins and Futurebrand. Tarek Atrissi became a Dutch citizen in 2007, and currently holds the dual Lebanese and Dutch Citizenships."
